Meatball Boats Recipe 🍝🚤

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 6 small baguettes or sub rolls
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Fresh basil leaves (optional, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. In a large bowl, mix together the ground beef, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, milk, egg, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper. Form into small meatballs.
  3. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the meatballs until browned on all sides and cooked through.
  4. Slice the baguettes or sub rolls lengthwise, creating a “boat” shape. Remove some of the bread from the center to create space for the filling.
  5. Place the meatballs inside the bread boats, then spoon marinara sauce over the meatballs. Top with shredded mozzarella cheese.
  6. Place the boats on a baking sheet and bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  7. Garnish with fresh basil leaves, if desired. Serve warm and enjoy!
