A Delectable Fusion of Philly Cheesesteak and Meatloaf

Ingredients:

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1/2 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1 cup bell peppers, diced (green, red, or a mix)
  • 1 cup onions, diced
  • 1 cup mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 tsp paprika
  • 1 cup provolone cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup mozzarella cheese, shredded

Instructions:

  1. Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Sauté Veggies: In a skillet over medium heat, sauté the diced bell peppers, onions, and mushrooms until soft. Add minced garlic and cook for another minute. Set aside to cool slightly.
  3. Mix Meatloaf: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, beaten eggs, Worcestershire sauce, salt, black pepper, and paprika. Mix until just combined.
  4. Add Veggies: Fold in the sautéed vegetables and half of the shredded provolone and mozzarella cheeses.

  6. Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until the meatloaf is cooked through and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
