- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions:
- Cook the Sausage:
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
- Add the Italian sausage, breaking it into pieces, and cook until browned.
- Prepare the Peppers and Onions:
- Add sliced bell peppers and onion to the skillet.
- Cook until the vegetables are tender.
- Season:
- Stir in minced garlic, dried basil, and oregano.
- Cook for another minute until fragrant.
- Make the Mashed Potatoes:
- Boil the cubed potatoes in salted water until tender, about 20 minutes.
- Drain the potatoes and mash them with milk, butter, and grated Parmesan cheese until smooth.
- Serve:
- Serve the sausage and peppers mixture over the garlic mashed potatoes.
